April 2009 Newsletter

Hallo Reader, I hope that you are doing well, and that March has been a good month to you and your family?

I would like to start this month's newsletter by telling you what God has been doing for us as a ministry. A prophetic word went out saying that "Money will be paid out to you that you have even forgotten about, pension funds, tax, insurance...from places that you didn't even know about!" Well, it is happening to some of the folk in this congregation, even in these economic times, GOD IS DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE! Keep on expecting your breakthrough and your present in the mailbox...your telephone call loaded with good news and your bank balance getting a surprise!

In connection with our brand new edition to Kingdom Light Church we are proud to say we are now in Fishoek every Tuesday @ 19:00 in our very own 'classroom church' and already we have experienced amazing testimonies. Cape Agullas has also seen the light and we will be there every 1st and last Monday of the month. After our first Monday we received a lot of phone calls of people who have heard about us being there and would like to join. GOD IS SO GOOD!

I believe the word for this season is that God is drawing his children to a deeper understanding of who He is, but more so who WE are. You see, religion put man in a place where once you get saved you are walking the tight rope with God and if you put one foot wrong God bumps you off. You are such a sinful man, a nothing, just trying to make it... That, my friend, is a LIE! The Old Testament was all about us trying to get to the Kingdom, but now after the Cross we need to understand the Kingdom is chasing after us, IT IS AT HAND! Jesus came so that we could be ONE with God again, and have God the Holy Spirit in us, to be like Him - Christ.

The call of God is not just a call to salvation by Grace, but a call into Grace, a higher calling with a face to face experience with God not just to see Him but to see me in Him, WHO I AM. Arthur Meintjies shared with us the first night at the conference that when Peter got the revelation of The Christ in Matt 16, it wasn't just of Christ but of himself too. Jesus turns and says to him that his flesh origin didn't reveal to him Christ, bur his true origin: God. He is "Petros" - small rock of "Petra" - the rock. He is a chip of the old block. What's in the rock is also in the chip, all of God (Col 2). If you like, get the CD/DVD for the full sermon!

Don't miss Easter services on Friday morning 9:00 am in Strand and 9:30 am in Belville, as there will be only a Sunday morning service in Belville.

May you have a blessed Easter and may the goodness of God catch you and grab you and love you to pieces!!

Thank You's:

To all the churches for taking part in our PetPals project. The pictures shows of big smiles, happy hearts, warm places to sleep and full stomach to some 500-600 pups and cat's (click here to view the outreach photo gallery). This is a continuous project and with this we urge you to please keep on collecting and part take in this wonderful project in taking care of the animals God gave us to rule and reign over and take care of.

Thanks to the PetPals project we are currently involved with 600 animals each have their very own dry wooden kennel, food, medicine and 90% of the animals are neutered which means no more homeless puppies and kittens! After 3 years of building relationships with the community they are now open to suggestions and lessons on basic caretaking of their pets.

This is a daily task that only strives on the helping hands of volunteers. If you would like to get involved with: Kennel building days, Feeding days, Neuter and spading days, Dip days - please speak to Karien or Shawn, as this amazing project is being run only on donations!

New Projects to take note of:

THE KLC 'JACK AND THE BEANSTALK PROJECT'

"What ever you sow in faith...you will reap in good measure" is what we believe, and no different in this case! We ask you to take part in bringing your unused and old clothes, shoes, blankets and jackets to church. If you have any unused furniture you would like to get rid of please DON'T bring it to church - just phone us, we'll know what to do with it! We are organizing a 'soup day' just before the cold winter hits together with PetPals in the needy community were we will be handing out all that you had gathered over the next few months. We are super excited about the projects and the prospects of Kingdom Light Church! Thank you for your open hearts and helping hands...
